I started out on support desks, moved into data, then into building software, and now I teach it. None of that was planned, but each step turned out to be preparation for the next one.
The through line is making things legible. A dashboard, an API, and a lesson plan all succeed on the same terms: the person on the other side understands what they are looking at and knows what to do next. Ten years of reporting and analytics work made that the thing I care about most, and it is what I try to pass on now.
